What could be better then joining the BYU sailing club? And go on trips down to Sand Hollow and sail on a beautiful lake? Well that's what Jared and I thought when we joined the sailing club. Little did we know that the most anticipated trip this fall was going to turn out to be a catastrophe. The following took place on the evening of Oct 26th.....
We left Provo around 6pm pulling a 16' Hobie catamaran so we could make it into the park before it closes at 10pm. About 60 miles later we heard the trailer start to vibrate abnormally. Upon inspection we found the center of the the right trailer tire missing.

An hour later as we pulled into a gas station we heard an awful .....crunch! We got out of the vehicle and joined the other cringed faces gawking at our shattered window. Apparently all the vibration from the damaged tire loosened one of the straps and the whole boat shifted forward, and so while turning the pontoon slammed into the $300 window.
